The pool can award grants for digital games and is not limited to specific target groups, genres or platforms. In this context, a game will contain gameplay or an interactive audiovisual universe, and together they must represent an artistic, narrative and/or educational ambition.
Development grants of up to DKK 100,000
In this case funding can be awarded for activities aimed at exploring and demonstrating a defined game concept. This will often include support for work on a technical test or prototype.
Development grants of over DKK 100,000
In this case, funding can be awarded for activities aimed at developing a demo. A demo is understood as a fully playable section of the game, representing the expected final quality and technical solution (sometimes referred to as a vertical slice). To be eligible for funding, a technical test or prototype demonstrating a significant aspect of the game must already have been developed.
Production grants
Grants can be awarded for activities leading to the completion and release of a game. A demo must already have been developed, and the game must be released in a Danish language version.
Launch grants
You can only apply for a launch grant for a game that has previously received a production grant from the Game Scheme. The launch must include activities targeted at a Danish audience.
